I didnt think the CGI was that bad. It's definitely not great. I think they used both CGI and live costume/makeup.. *sigh* they shouldnt use too much of CGI.
omg From the first clip it look really bad... T_T I tried not to believe people who said its a bad movie, but... T_T Still can't wait to watch it and haven't lost my excitement ^^
I just saw the film and I didn't like it at all. Doesn't help that I'm a fan of the original (which there were only two scenes from the original and otherwise, it was completely different). Sometimes it wasn't that they used too much CGI than the fact they used bad CGI and effects. The transformation of the creatures come to mind--cheesy. Even the animation didn't have that. Actually the animation was more realistic (as far as plot, situations, dialogue) than the live-action was unfortunately.
Jun Ji-Hyun is no where spectacular in the film, but she definitely gave it her all and I enjoyed her presence in the film. Allison Miller's character could be annoying sometimes, but she was the only other actress that seemed like she tried.
I think they were trying to combine Blood: TLV anime with the BTLV 2002 manga and Blood+ anime series. The transformations of human to Chiropteran look just like Blood+ transformatons. They don't look bad, but they don't look like Chiropterans. They look like something from the Resident Evil movies...
